Meagan Guidry
Account Executive
Born and reared in Texas, Meagan has more than five years of public relations experience ranging from media relations to crisis communications. She prides herself on being a whiz at crossword puzzles and useless trivia.
Meagan serves as account executive at Hopkins & Associates, working primarily on the Toyota and Lexus accounts. Her duties include media relations, event planning, promotions and social media.
Prior to joining Hopkins & Associates in Houston, Meagan was assistant manager of public relations at The Kellen Company in Atlanta. While at The Kellen Company she developed and implemented public relations campaigns for well-known clients including Coca-Cola, The Wrigley Company, Unilever and Sweet ‘n Low. In addition, Meagan served as the lead public relations practitioner for several social media campaigns, using tactics such as blogs, social networking Web sites and online videos to help promote clients.
Meagan’s background includes a variety of communications experiences: public relations director for her sorority Chi Omega and media relations intern for Jetstream Public Relations in Dallas, specializing in healthcare and technology. Meagan has a degree in public relations and a minor in Spanish from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!).
After living in Georgia for almost eight years, Mexican food, cowboy boots and Lone Star hospitality once again began calling Meagan’s name, and in 2008 she moved back to Houston to be closer to friends and family. When not busy at the office, Meagan enjoys exercising, reading a good book by the pool and shopping for shoes, of course!
