HOPKINS RETIRES FROM FIRM HE FOUNDED
Dallas-Based Public Relations Firm Continues Successful 33-Year Practice
DALLAS, April 2, 2012 - Clyde Hopkins has retired from Hopkins & Associates, Inc. and from active practice in public relations, effective March 31, 2012. He sold the firm he founded in 1976 to long time colleagues Lisa Alves, Barbara Hyman and Marilyn Pippin in 2009.
A 1963 graduate of The University of Texas, Hopkins worked in the news media and public relations for nearly 50 years after an initial stint as a microbiologist at Baylor Medical School in Houston.
During his public relations career, Hopkins counseled corporations on a wide range of issues, from financial and investor relations to crisis management. He also served as expert witness, testifying in lawsuits involving the impact of negative media coverage.
