Born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Deena Killingsworth has compiled an impressive track record working with high-profile clients known throughout the world. Her main areas of focus during the past 20 years include media relations, strategic planning, writing, promotions, special events and community relations.
At Hopkins & Associates, Deena has worked with many clients, including Freeman trade show services, Uncle Julioís restaurants, TXU, la Madeleine restaurants, Tandy Corporation, Toyota and Kimberly Clark. She particularly enjoys working in the consumer public relations area, but has also found business-to-business public relations equally interesting.
Previously Deena worked with Cox Pippin Communications, the former public relations division of The Richards Group, and at Susan Jacobs Inc. At these two Dallas-based agencies, she planned and executed marketing public relations and promotions programs for clients including Walt Disney Pictures, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, NEC, Pier 1 Imports, El Chico restaurants and Taco Bueno restaurants.
In her 14 years as a consultant, Deena has worked with a variety of clients, including Six Flags Over Texas, the Dallas/Fort Worth Area Tourism Council, Coca-Cola Bottling of North Texas, the N9NE Group restaurants, Christopher & Banks womenís clothing retailer and the Dallas Symphony.
Deena is a journalism/public relations graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, where she also earned an advertising emphasis with her degree.
When she isnít working for clients, Deena runs her personal taxi service, making stops at area soccer fields, dance studios, ballparks, YMCAs and schools, as she transports the three youngest Killingsworths to their various activities.
