Marilyn Pippin, APR
President
Principal
One of the proud native Texans on our staff, Marilyn Pippin hails from the small East Texas town of Van. She has learned about the world in 30-plus years practicing public relations, and has enjoyed almost every minute of it. Her work has spanned media and community relations, employee communications, events, promotions and strategic planning.
As president and director of client services, Marilyn leads the Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Riveron Consulting and Silveron Capital Partners accounts. Other areas of experience include retailing, hospitality, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and broadcast.
Prior to joining Hopkins & Associates, Marilyn was vice president and public relations director of MBRK Advertising & Public Relations; principal of Cox Pippin Communications, the former public relations division of The Richards Group; and media relations manager of Sanger Harris, the former Dallas division of Federated Department stores, now part of Macy’s.
Marilyn is a journalism graduate of the University of North Texas. She is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and chairs the Masters group for the Dallas chapter. Marilyn is past president of the Dallas PRSA chapter and the Texas Public Relations Association. She currently serves on the Universal Accreditation Board representing TPRA. Marilyn is an active member of Leadership Dallas Alumni Association.
Most weekends Marilyn makes her way back to East Texas, where she relaxes, gardens, listens to good music and spends time with family and friends at her home built by her grandparents.
